I've heard that soy, garlic, oatmeal and elimination of cholesterol, that true? Are there other foods good for lowering cholesterol, or herbs and supplements?

  1. I read somewhere (sorry, can not remember) where that eating a grapefruit a day can reduce cholesterol by 14%. Omega 3,6,9 / linseed oil supplements help too. Other foods are the major grapes, tomatoes, oranges, blueberries, carrots, basically everything containing flavonoids. Flavonoids inhibit the production of "bad" LDL cholesterol.
