Letters To The Bishop For Confirmation Why Is The Confirmation Process So Excessive?

Why is the Confirmation process so excessive? - letters to the bishop for confirmation

I am confirmed, a young Catholic, and I wondered why the confirmation process so great.

In my church, we must ...
Thu 50 hours service
Write a letter to the bishop to show how much they are willing to confirm
"Test" our love for God (how?)
Visit penance extremely long time
Go to a shelter in the night
Write a paper of 2 pages about our service experience

Should not the fact that I am a Catholic who is confirmed to satisfy I want?

  1. You are reaffirming their faith.
This confirmation is very important in Catholicism.
The church wants to be sure they understand the meaning of life, is not confirmed arrival. Why?

"" Test "our love for God (how?)"

Exactly, you're still confused. You should know at the time, like the love of God, what do you do for him.

Everybody can say what I think. But we need to really understand what you think? Do you understand what that really means?

  2. It is more and more in our Christian faith.

The community service work under the administration of the community, something that all Catholics are expected to embrace.

Write a letter to the bishop comes early Christianity. If they were still forced to walk to the subway and to be pursued for our faith was illegal, the new Christians had to demonstrate that they are part of the community, rather than converting to the Christian community, the authorities were. The same applies to the proof of his love for God.

I would not say that extreme, that is, how much you time to repent. But do not think it would be good to be absolved of all sins, if confirmed, was it?

The night retreat for young people, which has been confirmed, is very similar to the withdrawal would end the process in the diocese, when I presented to the church last year's goal is to happen, thinking about everything that I have done in preparation for the confirmation of him and his faith, which means for you.

The paper has a similar goal, the Helpa, with their service hours.

What, how it differs to show their love for God, for everyone, I think. You can try to ask your mentor for your ideas or trainers for the confirmation.

  3. Consider whether to buy a camera. This would make the research and perhaps learn a class in photography, how to make best use of the camera.

The same applies for the confirmation. The acknowledgment are the gifts of the Holy Spirit, through the preparation, thus increasing your testimony of Christ. Courses, retreats and service projects in preparation for receiving these gifts.

Without such preparation, the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not saturated. With the right preparation, you will be better able to use the gifts admitted.

A trusted person not to do when I was younger. It is worthwhile to do so.

  5. It is a good experience, but learning a lot from him. It is really sure that you take this decision, and is considered a sacrament. Breaking a sacrament is a moral debt to the Catholic Church. Provides the ability to give up everything to avoid pressure on the decision.

Their church is a bit much though. I do not want to do 50 hours my Habitat for Humanity. This is the real work, I have a couple of hours there, but go volunteer at school, a hospital for children and play rock band with children who have cancer. Stroll through your neighborhood and pick up and deliver clothes to move, or Goodwill. you can get credit for that, not so hard.

Two pages will be easy afterwards. Show your love for God, for all that the meat well. Never one to judge. This is truly divine. The night will be fun, no doubt, if you have children of your church who will have fun with him.

  7. Watch your azz if reartreat the withdrawal during the night or at the end, a "priest.

Better yet, wake up and realize they have become a mind control cult was indoctrinated. You see, this cult mind control are like the cigarette manufacturers. They know they can get when you're young (vulnerable and easy to impress) is probably for the rest of his life. On the other hand, if you can it to adulthood without doing one of his traps, then probably never.

If you have children and they want to baptize ... when his children were baptized. The baptism of the parents were married in the church.
you wouldnt by a sister, a cousin, you will be asked ... or so, and do not deny, because you have no confirmation never married in church?

  10. is too high, because the Catholic faith ... should have known that it goes .. The mass is a long, long marriages, baptize a baby is long, so of course, the confirmation is long ... by Catholic spend as much time to be implemented in the Church

  11. I left the church 50 years ago to hear your child is sick, go to hell. Sounds like things have changed. This seems strange to me. I study the different regions, say whatever they are Christians, what the hell people have the big story. but when it comes to faith, or evidence that the inclusion of faith at all times. Oh, this is his old clock dime. The false prophet, but he did not point out that his bony little finger and said he wanted to go to hell.

  12. You do not pass by a church to get to heaven.
It is a ridiculous idea at all.
God sent his only Son to earth for a reason - to forgive us our sins. the person that we have to get to heaven is Jesus.

think about what's really the church, so that you do? God has forgiven the Church no special power to decide.
It is God who forgives us.

  13. In fact, it is to learn and learn themselves. You need to know what they are doing, and the voices they do.

  14. Some Catholics not confirmed ....

But honestly, it sounds excessive to get married yet, ...

But each "branch" of Catholicism has its own way, and sometimes churches.

  20. Not quite.

I mean, if it is confirmed that means they have promised to dedicate his life through the sacraments.

You want to marry or become a priest.

When you marry you are promising to raise their children Catholic.

This is not something "light" - is a lifelong commitment. You do not want you to say, "OK" and warm on his promise. They say that to understand - you have to do what they promise.

If a priest confirmed that you feel comfortable, you have to take the full sacrament. Otherwise, he is in sin, and the placement is a sin.

What does repentance help very much time. "How can the remorse? Did you go to confession, and what is" extreme "in its opinion.

You see, as an adult with children who come in faith, I think it is important to realize what they promise. Just do not expect family or cultural reasons. Once this is confirmed, then responsing his own beliefs, to ensure that your parents have the duty to take you to church, or that you are the sacraments more. Not only adults are physically and chronologically, the church is to ensure that they become an adult in the context of their faith. It is a good thing.

Wait. Try to enjoy it. Making the service is pleasant and / or makes you feel good, it's not boring by far for you. Little League coach, you can help / basketball game with the KofC, etc. If you do something that you like to write can do, the document on page 2 a breeze!
